=== DOCUMENT 1 === 843 CITTINI, CO & MOCAS, BRAGA Todesia anigan J. Jeffs === DOCUMENT 2 === 644 O/645 Sept. 25th 94. My dear Sir, When I had the pleasure of meeting you on your recent visit to London, the question of compensation for defective notes supplied by this Company, to your Government, was slightly touched upon and I gathered that your Government had placed the matter entirely in the hands of your Acting Agent General and although that gentleman only received the £400 on account yet I supposed (apparently wrongly) that he had been convinced by the arguments in my letter of May 4, and I have been surprised at receiving an intimation that your Treasurer declines to receive as compensation
