Scope and content

89 110 23rd May 92. Dear Sir, In reference to the last paragraph of yours of the 21st, your ordinary cheques are printed by the copperplate process, on ordinary paper, in fugitive, or chemical ink, the protection against alteration being in the ink. As the Mineral Water Co's cheques will be lithographed, fugitive ink cannot be used, so for the sake of security we are using sensitive, or chemical, paper, which will render the cheques equally safe, and make practically no difference in the price. We are, Dear Sir Your obedient Servants E. Lawson Barnes Esqre Lancaster Bankg Co. Barrow in Furness. 95
